Spoiled Suede, born Erik van Ingen is a Brooklyn-based Beat Maker and Record Producer.

Erik's introduction to Hip Hop began in the early 2000's. An avid skier and skateboarder, much of his taste was influenced by the music heard in action sports videos. At the time, Action Sports and Underground Hip Hop went hand in hand. Here, Erik and his friends would make videos capturing their illest tricks soundtracked by their favorite music. In time, this hobby became a professional pursuit as Erik enrolled in a B.A. of Cinema program at Binghamton University. With an Avante Garde emphasis, Erik was encouraged to source archival footage with the intention of repurposing it into new work. A trained Director of Photography with a decade of knowledge in music theory developed while playing the Saxophone, Erik found himself borrowing ideas from Avante Garde work and applying them to more conventional compositions. It was his love for music, his love for counter culture, and his love for sound and moving image that encouraged him to make beats by sampling existing compositions. Ever since, Erik has been finding ways to give old works a new life. Creatively, Erik describes his music as "Modern Classic" and aims to wed the eclectic with the familiar.
